El Al Signs With Jet Blue

EL AL Israel Airlines and JetBlue Airways, the leading domestic carrier out of New York’s John F. Kennedy (JFK) airport, announced on Thursday that they intended to sign an interline agreement to expand the number of destinations they serve. Beginning in September, customers will be able to purchase a single ticket for travel on flights between Tel Aviv and most of JetBlue’s 61 United States destinations via JFK.
JetBlue recently signed a similar agreement with American Airlines for domestic U.S. travel. The 10-year-old carrier was voted “Most Eco-Friendly Airline” by Zagat’s Airline Survey in 2008 and 2009. It was recognized this year for the sixth consecutive time as “Highest in Customer Satisfaction Among Low-Cost Carriers in North America” by J.D. Power and Associates.
