Authorities charge former Department of Energy, Defense and NASA worker with attempted espionage for Israel – Maryland scientist Stewart David Nozette charged with giving classified info to Israeli intelligence

AN American scientist who once worked for the Pentagon and the US space agency NASA has been arrested and charged with attempted spying for Israel, the US Department of Justice said. Stewart David Nozette, 52, is charged with “attempted espionage for knowingly and willfully attempting to communicate, deliver, and transmit classified information relating to the national defense of the United States to an individual that Nozette believed to be an Israeli intelligence officer,” the Department of Justice said.

    If Israel is such a good friend of the US why is it acting like an enemy.
    I’ve heard enough people trying to justify their actions like saying

    1. Everyone else is doing it
    2. It’s those anti Israeli forces stirring up trouble.
    3. The US should be sharing all this information with Israel anyway
    4. These spies aren’t so much spying against the US but FOR Israel (Pollard defense)

    This despicable behavior has been going on for over 50 years. This is just another in a long series of incidents where Israelis are acting more like US enemies than friends.
    That’s what we get for our 33 billion dollars a year aid to Israel.
